How to reset the logo in Internet Explorer

default IE logo Sometimes a piece of software will change the “logo” (often called branding) in Internet Explorer. A lot of the time your ISP will do this when they install their ‘required’ software. To reset the logo to its default, follow the instructions outlined below.

  1. Close all open Internet Explorer windows
  2. Click Start and select Run
  3. Type in rundll32 iedkcs32.dll,Clear
  4. remove the ie logo

  5. Click OK
  6. Reboot your PC
  7. Open Internet Explorer and the “branding” (logo) is now reset to the default for Internet Explorer
