Cable Modem Troubleshooting: 3COM 3CR29220 (Sharkfin)

Multifunction	Function determined by the cable provider.
Data Transfer	Flashes at a rate consistent with the amount of data transmitted over the RF interface.
Connecting/Link Status	Solid green - Modem is acquired. Flashing - Modem is not acquired.
Power	Solid green when power is applied.
LED on the Back of the modem near the power adapter (not all models)	Short Off, Long Orange flashing - Startup, power on self test. Solid Orange - Failed power on self test. Short Off, Short Orange flashing - Searching for downstream signal. Long Orange, Short Green flashing - Acquisition in progress. Short off, Short Green flashing - Modem not authorized. Solid Green - Modem is acquired.
