Modem Light Indicators
Power

Off - No power to modem.
Solid - Modem acquired or Power-on self test.
Flashing - Any other status (ie. Scanning downstream, ranging…)

Online

Flashing - Standby switch active or Obtaining data IP address (DHCP)
Solid - Modem acquired and ready to transmit data.

Cable Flashing - Indicates activity over cable interface or Scanning for downstream carrier.
Solid - Ranging, obtaining data IP address, downloading, or acquired with no activity.
USB

Off - USB connection not detected.
Solid - USB connection detected.
Flashing - Indicates activity over USB interface.

Ethernet

Off - Ethernet connection not detected.
Solid - Ethernet connection detected.
Flashing - Indicates activity over Ethernet interface.

    dude download the USB drivers off of the arris web site
