If this is your modem (the Scientific Atlanta DPC2100) you should be able to plug this modem, using the USB c able, directly into your PC. I do have to unplug it atleast 2 or 3 times a day in order to restart it to get a proper internet connection because it gets too hot too easily, especially if you are a gamer. Mi hanno a staccare la spina almeno 2 o 3 volte al giorno per riavviarlo per ottenere un buon collegamento ad internet, perché diventa troppo calda troppo facilmente, specialmente se sei un giocatore. If you don’t have the installation cd it is virtually impossible to locate the drivers for the usb connection so if you cannot use it through ethernet port then you may as well return it. Se non avete il CD di installazione è praticamente impossibile individuare i driver per il collegamento USB per cui se non è possibile utilizzare tramite porta Ethernet, si potrebbe anche tornare. The modem is obsolete so they do not manufacture this model anymore so they do not provide support for it and it sucks. We just got this modem today that was installed by a Roadrunner person, and even though it was just put in today, there is no connection.
