		<description>my lan chord is such that it only works at  10 mbps full duplex in windows(due to some reason).but it doesn&#039;t works in ubuntu6.06.  when i use my friends  chord (which works at 100 mbps in winsows) it works fine in mu ubuntu.
  so i think that if i set my lan setting in ubuntu to work at 10 mbps, then it will work..
  but i dont know how to do it. i know this for windows, but not for ubuntu..
 so plz help me...</description>
