A number of blogs have recently pointed out the amazing collection of desktop wallpapers that can be found in the Flickr Wallpapers Group. So I thought I’d share a few of my favorite desktop wallpaper sites..
It doesn’t matter which Operating System you use, everyone loves a good desktop wallpaper site. Here are my favorites (all are pop-up free):
- Interfacelift.com has 980+ wallpapers, in wide-screen and standard sizes. You can sort the images by date, popularity, category and resolution.
- Chaoscope is a 3D strange attractors rendering program (whatever that is). If you use Windows, you can download the software (free) and create your own. Or, just browse the gallery and users gallery (about 60 images)
- DeviantART wallpapers. Sort by group, popularity, date added etc. Home to 1000’s, if not more, of wallpapers.
- Caedes is a close community of artists, designers, and photographers who share their work through the medium of computer desktop wallpaper. You can browse the thousands of images by galleries.
- Pixelgirl Presents has 1100+ desktop wallpapers that can be sorted by category, resolution and artist.
- McCanner’s Hockey Wallpapers is the best hockey wallpaper site on the Internet. The best. If you’re not a hockey fan, you might want to skip it though… Go Leafs!
- Virgin.net Wallpapers - popular music bands, sorted by band name.
