Synaptisch is een grafisch programma van het pakketbeheer voor geschikt. Het verstrekt de zelfde eigenschappen die het nut van de bevellijn met een voorkant GUI geschikt-krijg. Wat dat gemiddelde? Het is een programma dat u toestaat om andere programma's (en om het even welke software die wordt vereist om hen in werking te stellen) in Linux gemakkelijk te installeren. U kunt het ook gebruiken om software bij te werken en te verwijderen.
Synaptisch is inbegrepen met de een aantal populaire versies die van Linux, omvatten: Debian, Fedora en Ubuntu.
- Lancering Synaptisch door te selecteren Systeem -> Beleid -> Synaptische Manger van het Pakket.
- Ga uw administratief wachtwoord in wanneer veroorzaakt…
- en het belangrijkste Synaptische venster zal verschijnen. Van hier kunt u alle beschikbare toepassingen bekijken om te installeren door de linkerkolom te gebruiken. Gebruik Zoek knoop in het hoogste menu helpen programma's vinden u in geinteresseerd bent. U te hoeven om geen programma'snaam te kennen om van het de plaats te bepalen, kunt u sleutelwoorden (zoals e-mail, RSS, browser, spelen enz.) gebruiken.
- Wanneer u iets vindt wilt u het installeren, selecteren door de doos naast het te klikken en toen Teken voor Installatie. Nota: als de doos reeds „“ wordt ingevuld, is het programma reeds geïnstalleerd.
- Als het programma u hebt verkozen te installeren extra software vereist te werken, zal het automatisch ontdekt worden en in de lijst van dingen om ontdekt te installeren. Klik Teken knoop om verder te gaan.
- Als u meer dan één programma wilt installeren, herhaal de bovengenoemde twee stappen. Wanneer u klaar bent, klik Ben van toepassing knoop van het hoogste menu.
- Nu klik Ben van toepassing in Samenvatting venster.
- Alle vereiste dossiers zullen nu gedownload worden.
- De installatie zal beginnen zodra de dossiers het downloaden hebben gebeëindigd. Als u op de installatievooruitgang wilt letten, klik Details.
- Zodra alles wordt gebeëindigd, klik Sluit.
- U kunt uw onlangs geïnstalleerden programma's in hun respectieve plaatsen vinden.

synaptic package manager will not launch since 8.04 upgrade, also updates will not download? can anyone advise.

What to do if an installation process fails and you find it is no longer possible to install or remove packages:
Open a Terminal and type the following at the command line:
apt-get install -f Then press Return.
Browser works, Synaptic will not (note: probably inaccurate or outdated)

If the router is set to auto discover DNS then Synaptic will fail. Resolve this by setting up a static ip address and manually set DNS ip in router. Now Ubuntu (system-administration-networking) config static ip and enter your ISP dns ip and delete router DNS ip which will look something like 192.168.1.1
I live in Chile, in a rural area, and my problem is based in the fact that I still have not been able to get my Huawei E226 usb modem to work with Ubuntu. I have done a lot of searching for help regarding this subject, and found many pages and different methods, but, the problem is, I am just sooo novice, that I don?t know how to do anyting!! I scarecely worked out how to open a terminal recently. So all these explainations followed by lengthy codes and terms I don?t understand, are pretty useless to me.
I think that this modem is missing a driver, which apparently comes in a software by Vodafone for this modem. I downloaded this software (using Windows obviously to connect), and opened the instructions to install this software, and cannot understand a single thing of the instructions of how to install.. Help, what can I do??
It is nice to see that someone is speaking in simple terms and explaining things from scratch, but this still doesn’t give me the answer I need, as it is necesary to connect to internet to use Synaptic.
