This tutorial will guide you in installing, setting up and using Avant Window Navigator (Awn) - a dock-like bar that sits at the bottom of your Linux desktop. - Open a Terminal by selecting Applications -> Accessories -> Terminal . Ouvrez un terminal en sélectionnant Applications -> Accessoires -> Terminal. Then enter the command: Ensuite, entrez la commande:
sudo gedit /etc/apt/sources.list sudo gedit / etc / apt / sources.list

- On your keyboard, hold down the alt key and hit F2. Sur votre clavier, maintenez enfoncée la touche Alt et appuyez sur la touche F2. Enter avant-window-navigator and click Run . Entrez avant-window-navigateur et cliquez sur Exécuter.
- A small box will appear at the bottom of your screen. Une petite boîte apparaît au bas de votre écran. This is Awn, with no apps running. C'est Awn, sans applications en cours d'exécution.
- With the Startup Programs tab selected, click the New button. Avec l'onglet Programmes de démarrage, sélectionnez, cliquez sur le bouton Nouveau.
- Enter Awn as the name and avant-window-navigator in the Command field. Entrez Awn que le nom et l'avant-window-navigateur dans le domaine de commande.

- Select the program from the Applications menu by clicking and holding the mouse button down , then drag it to the dock and release. - Right-click a blank area of the Awn launcher and choose Preferences Faites un clic droit sur une zone vide du lanceur Awn et choisissez Préférences

I’ve been looking for the past day or so on how to in stall AWN, finally I managed it, and now this extremely useful instruction to add launchers, thanks so much.
