In preparation for a serious of tips/tricks that involve editing the Windows XP registry, here's a tutorial that explains how to back up the registry (and other system files). 1. Start by clicking the Start button and selecting All Programs -> Accessories -> System Tools and finally Backup . Začnite kliknutím na tlačidlo Štart a voľbou Programy -> Príslušenstvo -> Systémové nástroje a nakoniec Backup.
2. When the Backup wizard launches, click Advanced Mode Keď sa spustí Sprievodca zálohovaním kliknite na tlačidlo Spresniť Mode

3. Select the Backup tab and place a check in the box labeled System State . Vyberte kartu Zálohovanie a miesto kontrole políčko systéme štátu. Click the Browse… button. Kliknite na tlačidlo Prehľadávať ....

4. If an “Insert Disk” window pops up, just click Cancel Je-li "Vložte disk" sa objaví okno, kliknite Zrušiť



5. Select a location to save your backup, and enter a name for the file. Vyberte umiestnenie pre uloženie zálohy a zadajte názov súboru. Click the Save button. Kliknite na tlačidlo Uložiť.

6. Click the Start Backup button. Kliknite na tlačidlo Spustiť zálohovanie.



7. Depending on how many files are being backed up, this can take a few minutes. V závislosti na tom, koľko súborov sú zálohované, čo môže trvať niekoľko minút. The longer you've had XP installed (or the more programs you've installed), the longer it can take. Čím dlhšie ste mali nainštalované XP (alebo viac programov ste nainštalovali), to môže trvať dlhšie.



8. When it's done, click the Close button. Keď je to hotovo, kliknite na tlačidlo Zavrieť.



9. Find your newly created backup file. Nájdite si svoj novo vytvorený záložný súbor. Right-click the file and select Properties . -Pravým tlačidlom myši na súbor a vyberte Vlastnosti.



10. Notice that it's probably rather large. Všimnite si, že je to asi dosť veľký. At this point might want to back the file up on a CD-R or DVD-R, rather than have it take up space on your hard drive. V tomto bode chcieť vrátiť do súboru na CD-R alebo DVD-R, skôr ako mať zaberajú miesto na pevnom disku.
