How to allow a program through the Windows Vista Firewall Comment autoriser un programme à travers le pare-feu Windows Vista

This brief tutorial will show you how to “allow” a program to access the Internet when the Windows Vista Firewall is enabled (which is by default). Ce bref tutoriel va vous montrer comment "permettre" un programme d'accès à Internet lorsque le pare-feu Windows Vista est activé (qui est par défaut).

Typically when a program attempts to access the Internet for the first time, you’re presented with a pop-up window asking if you want to allow or block its access (see image below). En général, quand un programme tente d'accéder à Internet pour la première fois, vous êtes présentés avec une fenêtre pop-up vous demandant si vous souhaitez autoriser ou de bloquer son accès (voir image ci-dessous). This isn’t always the case though, so to manually allow a program from accessing the Internet, follow the instructions outlined below. Ce n'est pas toujours le cas, alors manuellement un programme permettant d'accéder à Internet, suivez les instructions ci-dessous.

1. Click the Start Orb and select Control Panel Cliquez sur l'Orb Démarrer et sélectionnez Panneau de configuration



2. Select Allow a program through Windows Firewall from the Security section - if it’s available (it’s not always the default choice). Sélectionnez Autoriser un programme par l'intermédiaire de pare-feu Windows de la section Sécurité - si elle est disponible (ce n'est pas toujours le choix par défaut). If it is available, skip down to step 4. Si elle est disponible, passer à l'étape 4. If it’s not, click Security and continue with step 3. Si elle ne l'est pas, cliquez sur la sécurité et passez à l'étape 3.

3. From the Windows Firewall section, select Allow a program through Windows Firewall . De la section Pare-feu Windows, sélectionnez Autoriser un programme par l'intermédiaire de Windows Firewall.

4. When prompted to grant permission, click Continue . Lorsque vous êtes invité à accorder l'autorisation, cliquez sur Continuer.

5. If it isn’t automatically displayed, select the Exceptions tab. Si elle n'est pas automatiquement affichée, sélectionnez l'onglet Exceptions. From there, click the Add program… button. De là, cliquez sur le lien Ajouter un programme… bouton.

6. Select the program you wish to allow access to the Internet. Sélectionnez le programme que vous souhaitez autoriser l'accès à l'Internet. If it’s not listed, click the Browse button and navigate to it. Si ce n'est pas répertorié, cliquez sur le bouton Parcourir et naviguer à celui-ci. Once it’s selected, click OK . Une fois qu'il a été sélectionné, cliquez sur OK.

7. Make sure that the program you just added is now listed, and has a check in the box next to it. Assurez-vous que le programme que vous venez d'ajouter, désormais classée, et a une coche dans la case à côté. Click OK and that program will now be able to access the Internet. Cliquez sur OK et ce programme va maintenant être en mesure d'accéder à Internet.
