Denna ska tutorial vägleder dig, i att använda Rhythmbox för att klara av din iPod i Ubuntu. Kliver är specifikt till lättretliga Ubuntu lismar (7.04) och Rhythmbox 0.10.0.
Notera: detta postar är delen av 10 alternativ till iTunes för att klara av din iPod överblick.
- Vid standard, när du förbinder din iPod till din ska barkass för datoren Rhythmbox. Om denna är den första tiden, har du använt Rhythmbox som du ska tas till och med en ömt ställe ställer in. Om det inte är, kan du hoppa over besegrar för att kliva 7.
Klicka Framåt knäppas för att börja ställa in.
- Välj mappen som du lagrar din musik sparar in, genom att klicka Bläddrande…, knäppas.
- Navigera till din musikmapp och klicka Öppet.
- Baksida på ställa infönstret ser till att din musikmapp har varit utvald och klickar därefter Framåt knäppas.
- Klicka nu Applicera att avsluta sig inställning - upp Rhythmbox.
- Rhythmbox ska öppet, och ditt musikarkiv ska visas.
- Att beskåda tillfredsställer av din iPod, väljer den från lista i den lämnade kolonnen.
- Härifrån kan du ta bort spårar från din iPod, genom rätt-att klicka (ctrl-klicka för singel knäppas musfolks), en song (eller gruppen av songs) och att välja Flyttning att kassera. För att tillfoga spårar till din iPod, går tillbaka till ditt musikarkiv, väljer songsna och släpar dem till iPoden som listas i den högra kolonnen.
- När du göras som uppdaterar din iPod och, önskar att koppla från den, besegrar rätt-klickar slutet Rhythmbox, iPodsymbolen på din skrivbords- och valt Skjut ut. Därefter kan du säkert ta bort din iPod.

After I do step 9 (Right-click iPod icon -> Eject), how do I uneject without physically detaching ipod from computer and then reconnecting?
This method doesn’t work : Rhythmbox doesn’t build a database on the iPod, it just reads the content on it. So, the songs you transfer with Rhythmbox are unreadable.

i just tried this - swear to god , it’s actually EASIER than running iTunes on XP.
it literally is a case of drag’n'drop onto your ipod. amazing stuff.
Are you sure it’s not that the files you’re downloading from the iPod are in Apple’s proprietary format (which won’t generally play elsewhere)?
Another way to eject the iPod is to right click it in the Device List on the left hand Window pane (Eject is one of the options). This has the same effect, but from within the interface.
I tried this method with my new nano 3rd generation and it trashed the database. I had to reset the ipod to factory defaults and reload the few songs I had in.

When I tried this I can see the iPod fine, I can also cerate a playlist, but I cannot drag and drop anything onto the playlist? Has anyone else experienced this?
