How to make Amarok the default software for your iPod Ako urobiť Amarok štandardný softvér pre váš iPod
- Select System -> Preferences -> Removable Drives and Media . Vyberte Systém -> Nastavenia -> vymeniteľné jednotky a médiá.

- Assuming you installed Amarok in the default location, select File System from the Places column, then the usr folder and finally the bin folder. Hahah yeah it is kinda ugly. Hahah jo to je docela škaredá. For the sake of tutorials/overviews I leave all the defaults – the brown is Ubuntu's default theme. Kvôli cvičenie / prehľady nechám všetky predvolené - hnedé je Ubuntu je predvolený motív. The blue is Amarok's default theme. Modrá je Amarok predvolenú tému. When I'm not using Ubuntu for screenshots etc, I actually have Compiz enabled with a different theme. When I'm nepoužívate Ubuntu pre screenshoty atď, vlastne som sa Compiz povolené s rôznou tematikou.

Does it handle OGG? Moja handle OGG? I mean the iPod itself doesn't handle OGG – I know that, but a friend of mine has a music collection where more than half of it is on OGG. Mám na mysli iPod sama nespracováva OGG - Ja viem, ale moja kamarátka má zbierku hudby, kde je viac ako polovica z nich je na OGG. I have not yet found a Linux program that can convert OGG files on the fly when you transfer them, and converting them by hand is not really a good option. Ešte som našiel program, Linux, ktorý možno previesť OGG súbory za behu, keď previesť, a prevádza ich do rúk, nie je naozaj dobrá voľba.

THANKS!!! DÍKY! My Ipod was a rejected from Itunes. Môj iPod bol zamietnutý z iTunes. Simply no comunication between them in windows. Jednoducho žiadna komunikácia medzi nimi v oknách. I was about to send it to service, and since Apple has no store in my town, there was about 30 dolars delivery and a 15 days waiting period. Už som sa chystal poslať do prevádzky, a pretože Apple nemá skladovať v mojom meste, tam bolo asi 30 Dolars dodania a 15 dní čakacia doba. But now Amarok made it sound perfectly! Ale teraz Amarok robil to zvuk dokonale!

It seems like in Hardy Heron the System Preferences->Removable Devices and Media doesn't have a multimedia tab any longer. Vyzerá to, že v Hardy Heron System Preferences-> Prenosné prístroje a médiá nemá multimediálnu kartu dlhšie.

I found two possible places where it could be set in Hardy: Našiel som dve možné miesta, kde by to mohlo byť stanovené v Hardy:

System Preferences -> Preferred Applications -> Multimedia where you can choose a Custom Multimedia Player, I set this to amarok, but it still launches Rhythmbox on insert System Preferences -> Štandardné aplikácie -> Multimédia, kde si môžete vybrať vlastný multimediálny prehrávač, som na to amarok, ale stále spúšťa Rhythmbox na vloženie
2. 2. Nautalus edit->Preferences->Media has a bunch of options for opening Rhythmbox for music player, but doesn't let you specify an alternative! Nautalus upraviť-> Nastavenia-> Médiá má veľa možností pre otvorenie Rhythmbox pre hudobný prehrávač, ale nedovolí zadať alternatívu!

im guessing its coded somewhere else or that an ipod isnt considered a “multimedia player” by hardy. im hádať jeho kódovaných niekde inde, alebo že ipod isnt považovaný za "multimediálny prehrávač" Hardy.
it wont be long till i nuke gnome anyways, but if i find a solution in the mean-time, ill be sure to post it. je zvyknutý byť dlho, kým aj kdekoľvek gnome atomovku, ale ak by som nájsť riešenie v strednej-time, zle určite post it.
