Το Yahoo περιγράφει τους σωλήνες ως «διαλογικό στοιχείο aggregator και χειριστής που σας αφήνει mashup οι αγαπημένες σε απευθείας σύνδεση πηγές στοιχείων σας». Εντάξει, αλλά τι κάνει ότι μέσος όρος στο υπόλοιπο μας; Οι σωλήνες Yahoo χρησιμοποιούν εύκολος--καταλαβαίνουν τον οπτικό συντάκτη που επιτρέπει ότι (μεταξύ άλλων) παίρνετε τις πολλαπλάσιες τροφές RSS, συνδυάζετε και φιλτράρετε τους, και έπειτα την παραγωγή όλη ότι πληροφορίες σε μια RSS τροφή.
Αυτό το σεμινάριο θα σας πάρει μέσω των βημάτων για να φιλτραρίσει το περιεχόμενο μιας τροφής RSS (Techmeme) έτσι ώστε το περιεχόμενο που μπορεί να είχατε διαβάσει ήδη δεν συμπεριλαμβάνεται στην τροφή Techmeme σας.
- Για να δημιουργήσετε έναν σωλήνα μια ανάγκη ένας απολογισμός Yahoo, έτσι εάν δεν έχετε το ένα, εσείς δύναμη επίσης σημάδι επάνω τώρα. Μόλις υπογράψετε μέσα, επισκεφτείτε http://pipes.yahoo.com. Η προεπιλογή/το κενό σχεδιάγραμμα σωλήνων θα παρουσιαστεί.
- Πάρτε αρχισμένος με το σύρσιμο Τροφή ευρύτητας από Πηγές κατάλογος στην κύρια περιοχή ενότητας. Εισάγετε το πλήρες URL στην τροφή RSS που θέλετε να προσαρμόσετε. Για αυτό το σεμινάριο χρησιμοποιώ την τροφή Techmeme RSS, η οποία είναι το http://www.techmeme.com/index.xml
- Να επιβεβαιώσει την τροφή φορτώθηκε σωστά, σέρνει μια γραμμή από το μικρό κύκλο στο κατώτατο σημείο Τροφή ευρύτητας ενότητα Παραγωγή σωλήνων ενότητα. Κατόπιν, συρετε Διορθωτής το παράθυρο στην εστίαση και χτυπά Αναζωογονήστε συνδέστε εάν τίποτα δεν παρουσιάζει αμέσως. Το παράθυρο διορθωτών πρέπει να γεμίσει με έναν κατάλογο των άρθρων στην τροφή που προσθέσατε.
- Τώρα θα φιλτραρίσουμε έξω τα άρθρα από την τροφή που δεν θέλουμε να περιλάβουμε. Από Διαδικασίες οι επιλογές, σέρνουν Φίλτρο ενότητα στον κύριο χώρο εργασίας.
- Τώρα συνδέστε Τροφή ευρύτητας ενότητα Φίλτρο ενότητα (μπορείτε να αφήσετε Παραγωγή σωλήνων ενότητα που αποσυνδέεται για τώρα).
- Φίλτρο η ενότητα, σιγουρεύεται αυτής Φραγμός και Οποιοιδήποτε και οι δύο που επιλέγονται. Κανόνες περιοχή, επίλεκτη item.description. item.description η επιλογή είναι `που δημιουργείται» επειδή οι σωλήνες Yahoo αναγνωρίζουν το μέρος «περιγραφής» της τροφής Techmeme (δείτε το κατώτατο μέρος του screenshot κατωτέρω).
Για αυτήν την τροφή, πρόκειται να εμποδίσω έξω ορισμένα URL από την τροφή Techmeme, επειδή προσυπογράφω ήδη σε εκείνες τις τροφές περιοχών RSS, και δεν θέλω να σπαταλήσω χρονικός να τυλίξω μέσω της τροφής Techmeme με τα πράγματα ότι έχω ήδη έτοιμο. Έτσι το πρώτο URL που εισήγαγα ήταν το http://gigaom.com. That will block out any Techmeme articles that originate from GigaOM.com.
- Click the + (plus) Rules button to create another rule, and repeat the steps above. Enter in the URLs to sites that you already read, and therefore don’t need to read again when they’re published in Techmeme. When you’re done, ‘drag’ the pipe from the Filter module to the Pipe Output module. Refresh the Debugger area and any articles that originate from a site that you’ve just added to your filter will be removed.
- If you’d like, you can also add a Sort module (from the Operations menu) into the mix. That way you can sort the feed articles by the date published etc. Make sure the final pipe goes from Fetch Feed to Filter to Sort and finally to Pipe Output. When you’re done, click the Save button in the upper-right part of Yahoo Pipes.
- Give your custom feed a name and click Save.
- To preview your “new” feed, click Run Pipe from the top (center) of Yahoo Pipes. Your feed will be previewed in a new browser window/tab.
- If you’re happy with the results, close the preview window/tab and click the Publish button (next to Save). Enter a description and some tags, then click Publish.
- To subscribe to your feed, go back to the Preview page and use the handy Subscribe drop down menu. You can save your feed directly to a number of the popular online feed readers, or just use the Get as RSS item to display your RSS feed URL.
- For Firefox users, the feed will be displayed in your browser. You can copy and paste the URL into any RSS reader you choose.

Excellent tutorial, it was a little daunting to use at first. It makes a lot more sense now, can use it to merge feeds together rather then subscribing to each one separately.

Nice tutorial! Tip: Feedity’s RSS generator can be used for those data sources which don?t provide a syndication format like RSS to act as a Pipe?s input.
