Αυτό το (συνοπτικό) σεμινάριο είναι με κανένα τρόπο μόνο» τρόπος το `να εγκατασταθεί KDE 4 σε OS Χ. Εντούτοις, είναι πιθανώς το ευκολότερο. Συνεχίστε για ένα βαθμιαίο πέρασμα, και τις μερικές αποκηρύξεις.
KDE apps σε έναν υπολογιστή γραφείου OS Χ
Υπάρχουν μερικά πράγματα που πρέπει να αναφέρω επάνω το μέτωπο. Είναι:
- Ο κύριος που δημιούργησε αυτές τις συσκευασίες σας προειδοποιεί: «Μπορούν να μην λειτουργήσουν. Μπορούν να μην εγκαταστήσουν ακόμη και. Δεν είμαστε αρμόδιοι για οποιαδήποτε προβλήματα ή τα προβλήματα συστημάτων που αυτό μπορεί να προκαλέσει.»
- Αυτό είναι μια άλφα απελευθέρωση - ακόμα κι αν παίρνετε τα μέρη από την που λειτουργεί, είναι αρκετά απίθανη εσείς θα πάρει όλοι από τον που λειτουργεί.
- Είναι ένα 1.5GB bittorrent μεταφορτώστε για την πλήρη συσκευασία. Μια πλήρης εγκατάσταση θα λάβει 12-13GB του διαστήματος στην κίνησή σας. Αυτό δεν είναι ένα τύπος-ο. Με αυτόν εν λόγω, μπορείτε να προσαρμόσετε την εγκατάσταση για να μην περιλάβετε τις συσκευασίες που δεν θα χρησιμοποιήσετε ποτέ, το οποίο θα οδηγήσει στο λιγότερο χώρο στο δίσκο που χρησιμοποιείται. Μπορείτε επίσης να χρησιμοποιήσετε μονόγλωσσος για να αφαιρέσετε τις αχρείαστες αρχιτεκτονικές (PowerPC εάν έχετε τη Intel ΚΜΕ, Intel εάν έχετε ένα PowerPC ΚΜΕ) εάν εσείς πραγματικά ξέρτε τι κάνετε. Δεν συνδέω με μονόγλωσσο στο σκοπό, μπορεί εντελώς να βρωμίσει επάνω την εγκατάσταση OS σας Χ εάν τον χρησιμοποιείτε ανακριβώς - εξεταστείτε πολύ προειδοποιημένος.
- Εάν βρίσκεστε «γιατί ακόμη και κάνετε αυτό;» η μόνη απάντηση που μπορώ να έρθω επάνω με είμαι «επειδή είναι δυνατό». Για μια αρκετά λειτουργικότερη έκδοση KDE στη MAC σας, θα πρότεινα τους παραλλήλους ή VMWare για να εγκαταστήσω μια βασισμένη στο KDE διανομή Linux.
Έτσι μετά από να αναθεωρήσει όλους τους ανωτέρω λόγους να μην εγκατασταθεί KDE 4, εάν θέλετε ακόμα να συνεχιστείτε, είναι εδώ τι να κάνει.
- Επίσκεψη http://ranger.users.finkproject.org/kde/index.php/Home και μεταφορτώστε όλα συσκευασία (όλο-2007xxxx.dmg.torrent). Διάρκεσε για μια ώρα για με για να μεταφορτώσει σε ένα καλώδιο/μια ευρυζωνική σύνδεση. Μην ξεχάστε να σπείρετε το αρχείο αφότου σας μεταφορτώστε έχει ολοκληρώσει.
- Ανοίξτε το .dmg αρχείο. Δεδομένου ότι είναι τεράστιο θα διαρκέσει μια στιγμή που ελέγχει - δύναμη θέλετε να χτυπήσετε εκσκαφέας κουμπώστε εάν είστε σίγουροι το αρχείο είστε πλήρεις.
- Εντοπίστε kde.mpkg τον αρχειοθετήστε και πιέστε δύο φορές (θα είναι ακριβώς kde εάν κρύβετε τις επεκτάσεις).
- Ο μάγος εγκαταστάσεων θα προωθήσει - χτυπήστε Συνεχιστείτε για να πάρει αρχισμένος.
- Review the information provided and click Continue.
- Review the Software License Agreement (yeah right) and again click Continue.
- When prompted, click Agree.
- Select the drive you wish to install KDE on, and click Continue.
- Now you can de-select packages that you don’t want to install. I skipped KDE Educational, but you may want it. After you’ve decided which packages you want to install, click Install.
- Enter your password when prompted.
- Go grab a cup of coffee. The (almost) full installation that I did took about 22 minutes to complete.
- And when it’s done, click Close.
- Now it’s time to give it a shot - cross your fingers and navigate to Mac HD -> opt -> kde4 -> bin and double-click one of the applications.
- I was able to launch Amarok, but I couldn’t get it to actually play music files.
- Konqueror worked, but would crash when I tried to use it as a web browser (it worked fine as a file manager).
- KWrite worked flawlessly.
- And finally - a screenshot of KOrganizer, KWrite and KMines all running on my OS X desktop.
- Get used to using Force Quit when KDE apps stall. Which I found they frequently did.
- If you find that it’s not stable enough for you, but you’re determined to get KDE 4 running in OS X, you can try building it yourself. I have no idea how long it would take to manually build everything, but it took me over 12 hours to compile just Amarok and its dependencies in OS X (and it didn’t even work when all was said and done).

Please, you should add (in the very first sentence!) that this is not a KDE4 “final” install, but one of the very first *Alpha* releases. The way it reads now, it sounds a bit unfair…
And it will still be a while before a final, stable release is available for Mac OS X users….

Item #2 - “This is an alpha release - even if you get parts of it working, it?s pretty unlikely you?ll get all of it working.”
I think between that and the other ‘disclaimers’ it’s pretty clear that this isn’t final, isn’t stable and really only for folks that want to experiment a bit.
I installed this on an external drive (13 gigs is a bit too much space for something that I am planning to mess around with (as opposed to using it every day) And it worked pretty well, however, as it is an alpha release, I have no doubt that there are problems. (Somewhere)

Ok …im finish install the packages (kde4) …but now how can i uninstall it since it already took huge amount of my hd?….Please somebody enlightent me….

If you want to delete everything, go to /opt/ and delete the kde4, kde4-deps and qt4 folders (and all of their sub-folders). If you have any problem deleting those, open a Terminal and type:
sudo rm -rf /opt/kde4
(enter your password when prompted)
sudo rm -rf /opt/kde4-deps
sudo rm -rf /opt/qt4
Then delete the original file - kde.mpkg. That should wipe all of the KDE related files from your drive.
At least you got icons on your applications.
I’ve got Leopard on my Mac, I wonder if that is my issue? Anyways, I could get applications to start but without any icons at all. Simple apps worked great, like Kate, but Amarok was a crashing beast.
I’m exited to see this happening and can’t wait for it to get all ported to OS X. Kate is a great text editor for programming and Amarok beats the pants off of iTunes, imo.

but if you open the console every startup you will read a lot of think like

so he try to start it up……

Check the /Library/LaunchDaemons/ folder for a file w/ “kde” somewhere in it. Delete that file. I *think* that’s where mine was. There’s also a “hidden” folder in your /Users/your-user-name/ folder called .kde - it’s not big, but if you want to really get rid of all of KDE, delete it too.
re: my previous comment - skill sent me a followup email (I mailed him directly) - the file in /Library/LaunchDaemons/ is org.freedesktop.dbus-session.plist
Remove it, reboot, and delete the .kde folder in your home directory (and the other folders I mentioned in comment #5) and KDE should be gone entirely. You can also use Spotlight and/or Google Desktop search to look for files w/ “kde” in them to make sure you got it all.
