This brief tutorial will guide you in copying/moving pictures from your digital camera to your Ubuntu computer. The steps and screenshots are specific to Ubuntu 7.04 (Feisty Fawn) but will likely be similar to previous and upcoming versions. 1. Plug your camera into the USB (or FireWire) port using the cable that came with your digital camera. Koble kameraet til USB (eller FireWire) porten med kabelen som fulgte med digitalkameraet ditt. Turn the camera on. Slå på kameraet. The Camera Import tool will automatically launch – click the Import Photos button. Kamera Import verktøyet vil automatisk starte - klikk på Importer bilder knappen.



2. The default location to save your photos will likely be the home folder. Standardplasseringen å lagre bildene dine vil sannsynligvis bli hjemme mappen. 3. And choose Other… from the menu. Og velg Other ... fra menyen.

4. Use the Places shortcuts to navigate to the folder you want to save your pictures in. I have a My Pictures folder in my home folder that I use for just this occasion. Bruk Steder snarveier til å navigere til mappen du vil lagre bildene i. jeg har en mappen Mine bilder på hjemmesiden min mappe som jeg bruker for nettopp denne anledningen. When you've selected a folder to save your photos in, click the Open button. Når du har valgt en mappe for å lagre bilder på, klikker Åpne.

5. If you want to delete the pictures from your camera after they've downloaded to your computer, make sure to place a check in the box labeled Delete imported images from the camera . Hvis du vil slette bilder fra kameraet etter at de har lastet ned til datamaskinen din, sørg for å plassere en sjekk i boksen Slett importerte bilder fra kameraet.

6. Sit back and watch as the pictures are moved from your camera to your computer. Len deg tilbake og se hvordan bildene blir flyttet fra kameraet til datamaskinen.

7. Once the import has completed, the Ubuntu Picture Viewer will automatically open. Når importen er fullført, vil Ubuntu Picture Viewer automatisk åpen. You can use it to view all of the pictures you just moved from your camera to your PC, or just close it down. Du kan bruke den til å vise alle bildene du nettopp flyttet fra kameraet til din PC, eller bare lukke det ned.

8. If you navigate to the folder where you store the pictures from your digital camera (again, in my case this is the My Pictures folder) – you'll notice a new folder. Hvis du navigere til mappen der du lagrer bildene fra digitalkameraet (igjen, i mitt tilfelle er dette mappen Mine bilder) - vil du merke en ny mappe. That's the one that contains all of the pictures you just moved from your camera to your computer. Det er den som inneholder alle bildene du nettopp flyttet fra kameraet til datamaskinen.
