Update: uTorrent é agora disponível para ósmio X sem ter que instalar Darwine (que é o método usado neste tutorial).
Um outro nome para este tutorial podia ser “como instalar programas de Windows em ósmio X sem comprar Cruzamento“. Ou “como usar Darwine instalar programas de Windows em ósmio X”. Mas este tutorial fará exame de você step-by-step com instalar uTorrent (que é atualmente Windows-somente) através de Darwine - um porto do ósmio X de Vinho.
Antes de seu começo:
- Instale X11 em ósmio X, se não for já
- Download Darwine
- Download uTorrent para Windows
Instalando Darwine e uTorrent em ósmio X
- Desembale Darwine e arraste o dobrador inteiro de Darwine ao seu Aplicações. Localize então e dobro-clique WineHelper.app lima no dobrador de Darwine.
- Um pequeno Janela Process aparecerá. Você pode minimizá-lo a sua doca ou apenas ignorá-lo.
- Do menu de WineHelper, seleto Aplicação -> Aberto…
- Navigate ao utorrent.exe a lima, seleciona o, e o clique Aberto.
- Um grupo do texto voará perto no Registro do vinho janela. Ignore-o.
- E você será alertado instalar uTorrent. Deixar as caixas do atalho verificadas é muito bem, mas você claramente não terá do “um atalho do menu começo” quando a instalação é feita (though você terá um atalho desktop).
- Aquele é ele. o lançamento uTorrent da vontade e pergunta se você gostar d de ser a aplicação do defeito para limas da abertura .torrent.
- Selecione o seu Conexão a velocidade etc., e estala Use ajustes selecionados tecla.
- Você deve também observar um atalho a uTorrent em seu desktop.
- E agora você pode usar uTorrent em ósmio X
- Darwine pode também funcionar muitos outros programas de Windows. Provavelmente não tanto como como Cruzamento, mas o preço é direito.

Hey - Saw you linked to Darwine from me.. Just a tip to make it work better from your Darwine Output - Install/Create the Symlink for Freetype2(”ln -s /Developer/SDKsMacOSX10.4u.sdk/usr/X11R6/lib/libfreetype.* /usr/lib/*” to create a Symlink if you have XCode installed. If not, you can install it via Fink/MacPorts and create a symlink with those install locations ).
Also, having Fontforge is useful and should prevent some errors.
Is it possible to use right click in darwine apps? I’m using a macbook pro and ctrl click isn’t working

If you go to Applications -> Utilities is X11 already there? If so, you can just skip that step as you already have it installed..
I have installed Utorrent on my mac….but I m not able to see the files on my browser…Do you know if it will use Safari or I have to install some program winehelper???

i cant open darwine becasue it says the application does not support this system, what does that mean? i have a g4 osx11+ and am running on 1.3ghz

I have the exact same problem, I’ve been looking through the coding and it supports some error saying it couldn’t load main module. The error information shows up after the http://www.freetype.org in the information log box for wine. I noticed in the guided pictures it was using xterm to support and install utorrent, I wasn’t sure if it was a problem with my xterm, if it was an error installing it or if i should try to install it again (because it had seemed to instal smoothly and without error when I did it),or what the problem could possibly be. If someone could please help, I could send you more information or copy and paste the log info.

After it mentions freetype.org in the log it gives me error saying it couldn?t load main module. I tried installing freetype2 but however its done I can’t figure it out. What am I missing here?

If you cant find X11.app, make sure you have X11 installed.
These builds of Darwine are for _Intel_ Mac’s. G4’s wont run it.
And buy a mouse with two buttons for right click. Wine doesn’t support right click emulation.

Download uTorrent version 1.7.2 (the version I used in the tutorial) from http://www.oldversion.com/program.php?n=utorrent and give it a try. Darwine probably can’t run the latest version (1.8 beta 9704).

utorrent-1.7.2exe has exited with an error, have a look at the Log window…

A little off topic BUT.. equally important IMHO
I got this working to test drive Darwine.. I then tried the ever elusive Voipcheap [Betamax - http://www.voipcheap.com client. I thought it was a relatively simple windows client but nothing seems to work. Installs fine - but crashes on launch. There are a heap of the same app - named differently [voipbuster etc] so one fix will fix them all.

In response to Mal and Cool. Got it fixed by installing Darwine version 0.960. I had version 1.0-rc3 and it always gave me that error. Just remove the newest 1.0 version, if you are on it, and install the Darwine version used in this guide or install the one I used. Hope this fixes it for you. Now off to seed seed seed and leech with uTorrent :p
My attempt to install uTorrent on my Mac OS 10.4.10 Tiger stalled. The text flew by, but I never got the “Install uTorrent” prompt window. The end of the text showed this error:

I start it up the next day it would not start on my iMAC because i created alias installed of really installing so I redid everything and now I get the following error every-time:
