How to add a menu bar shortcut to all of your OS X System Preferences

Using the small, straight forward and free program PrefsMenu, you can quickly access any of your System Preferences via the menu bar.

Start by downloading PrefsMenu and extracting PrefsMenu.app to your Applications folder. Launch it from there.

The first time you launch PrefsMenu, it will explain how to add it to your startup items (which I’ve outlined in detail here). Click OK.

Notice the new icon in your menu bar..

..and now click it.

If you have a lot of added System Preferences, you may need to scroll through the list to view them all.
