How to run Dashboard widgets on your desktop in OS X

Using Hoverdash, you can select any of your Dashboard widgets and have them run directly on your desktop.

  1. Start by downloading and installing Hoverdash. Launch it from your Applications.
  2. hoverdash

  3. Select the widgets you wish to run on your desktop and click Apply.
  4. hoverdash

  5. And now they’ll appear on your desktop. Note: they also stay on top of all other programs running - if you can figure out a way to set them to not maintain focus (always on top) by all means please leave a comment below.
