Linux

Below you’ll find a series of screenshots from the recently released gOS - a linux based operating system that’s found on low-priced PC’s at a retailer I’d rather not mention. If you like what you see you can download a copy for yourself and take it for a spin.

gOS is heavily based on Ubuntu 7.10 and Enlightenment, and it integrates every Google service you can imagine. You can find out more details on gOS here.

I would be very interested to see a screenshot of one of the web apps running. Have they removed location bar, bookmarks bar etc when “opening” a web app?

    Doufer:
ISO files can sometimes run far over the actual size of the data on a cd. Just burn it with nero, alcohol or cdburnerXP and you should be fine.

The ISO I have states that it is released under a Creative Commons (nc-by) license. I wonder how it is possible to do that with GPLed software.

    5 Sulfura 11.06.07 at 1:44 am

Because that’s the License of the entire Project. The kernel and free software remain GPL
