Dit leerprogramma zal u door vestigingsPost 3.1 - het e-mail- programma inbegrepen met OS X 10.5 (Luipaard) begeleiden.
- Wanneer de Post voor het eerst het „Onthaal aan Post“ opent de tovenaar zal lanceren. Ga aangewezen info in de verstrekte ruimten in. Verwijder de controle van Zet automatisch rekening op doos.
- Op het tweede scherm zult u uw moeten ingaan De inkomende Server van de Post informatie. Deze informatie wordt verstrekt aan u door uw ISP. Als u kabel of DSL in Noord-Amerika hebt, kunt u verwijzen naar deze lijst van e-mailmontages voor veel van belangrijkste breedbandISPs (Comcast, Cox, Rogers, Shaw, Verizon, Earthlink, Time Warner enz.). Wanneer u correcte info voor uw ISP hebt, ga het in de verstrekte ruimten in. Anders, controleer met uw ISP. Klik Ga verder wanneer u zeker bent hebt u juiste ingevulde info.
- Gelijkaardig aan de vorige stap, zult u de informatie voor uw moeten ingaan De uitgaande Server van de Post. Klik Ga verder wanneer u bereid zich bent te bewegen.
- Herzie alle informatie over het Summiere scherm, en klik Cre�ër wanneer u wordt gedaan.
- Op dit punt zal u met uw Inbox worden voorgesteld. Klik Nieuw Bericht knoop en stel een bericht aan zich dicht samen, dan verzend het.
- Klik Krijg Post de knoop, zou en u het testbericht moeten downloaden u enkel verzond.
- Als het niet werkte, of u enkele montages wilt veranderen, uitgezocht Post van de belangrijkste Staaf van het Menu, en toen Voorkeur… van de daling onderaan lijst.
- Algemeen het lusje zal worden getoond. Herzie de diverse montages en de voorkeur en breng om het even welke veranderingen aan u pasvorm ziet.
- Selecteer Rekeningen tabel. Van hier kunt u uw e-mailservermontages uitgeven.
- Selecteer Het Gedrag van de brievenbus lusje in Rekeningen sectie. Opnieuw, breng om het even welke veranderingen aan u aangewezen acht.
- Select the Advanced tab in the Accounts section. And you guessed it - make whatever changes you want.
- Finally, select the Junk tab. From here you can modify the spam/junk settings in Mail. Explore the other sections - none of them are critical to the sending and receiving of email, but they will offer options to personalize Mail.

time warner thanks you we needed this on the floor really bad
The instruction work a charm! I’ve used them to setup my Mail 3.1 for Gmail.
Leaving the ‘automatic setup’ box checked at the beginning, leads Mail to create a POP gmail account, which doesn’t work.

Could someone tell me how to turn off SSL on the outgoing servcer once the account is setup? Ive been googling and cant find any info.
Here goes -
Click Mail > Preferences. Select the Account from the Accounts box. At the bottom of the Account Information tab (which should be displayed by default) there’s drop-down labeled “Outgoing Mail Server (SMTP)”. Select that drop-down, and choose “Edit Server list”. Select the SMTP server you want to change from the top window, and then click the “Advanced” tab in the bottom window. Remove the check from “Use Secure Sockets Layer (SSL)”. Depending on your ISP you may have to change the port as well - that part your ISP will be able to tell you.

Anybody know how to set up an automatic out-of-office reply using 3.1? I used to do this using “Rules,” but ever since upgrading to Leopard, it hasn’t worked. In fact, when I try, I end up sending a bounce-back to everyone who has sent me an email in the last month, and it doesn’t even include my message.
