We have had the google desktop gadgets sidebar for some time, incorporating the clock, local weather, pictures and news. We were away on holiday for a couple of weeks and now we find that the news doesn't work - it just says 'Loading'. We have re-installed it but to no effect.
Any suggestions please.
Thanks

@Roget - This is true. The couple of gadgets that I've left installed, do take up some CPU. But less than Firefox does even when it's idling.

Ross, check your CPU usage: that Google gadget-converted-widget chews up CPU time, even when Dashboard is hidden. Not impressive.
