Overview: Microsoft releases Office Mobile 6.1

Office Mobile 6.1 has been released for Windows Mobile 5.0 Pocket PC and Windows Mobile 6 devices. The upgrade is a free download and will allow you to open and edit Office 2007 documents from Word (.docx), Excel (.xlsx) and Powerpoint 2007 (pptx).


    Other updates include:

  1. Enhanced viewing experience for charts in Excel Mobile.
  2. Ability to view SmartArt in PowerPoint Mobile.
  3. Ability to view and extract files from compressed (.zip) folders.
  4. Office Mobile 6.1 will install via ActiveSync or the Windows Mobile Device Center (Vista). Your device will have to be restarted for the installation to complete.
