Below you’ll find 150 of the best SummerBoard themes for the iPhone and/or iPod Touch.
While trying to find a SummerBoard theme for my iPod Touch I realized how much of a hassle it was to “preview” them. Most of the time you have to actually download and install it in order to find out what it looks like. So I decided to download and install as many as I possibly could - over 220. I took screenshots of the best 150 of them, and you’ll find those screenshots in this 3 page article.
To download and install any of the themes previewed here, first make sure you have SummerBoard installed. Then launch Installer.app, click Install and scroll down to the Themes (SummerBoard) section. Locate the theme you want to install, select it and click the Install button in the upper right corner. The theme will then be available to use via SummerBoard.
Please note: I’m not trying to increase page views by breaking this into 3 pages. I just don’t want to suck up all your bandwidth (or use all of mine) by forcing you to download 150 images all on one page. Click on any of the images to view a full size version of that theme.
If it’s at all helpful, here are my 10 favorite themes:
- Aqwoah - includes icons for a lot of 3rd party apps
- Buuf 2 - kinda cartoon’ish, but very, very clear and usable
- Computer Matt - because it’s just so goofy
- iLoveMMi - you’ll want to disable icon names for sure
- Leaf - again, you’ll want to disable icon names
- Louie Mantia Agua - very clean but elegant
- Oren - of all the purple’ish themes, this is my favorite
- Punisher - I’m not sure I love the background image/wallpaper, but the icons are great
- Simple Sky - I like this one cause it’s simple, and blue
- Smooth by Adam Jaz - one of the uh weirder named themes, but it is smooth

Good collection, though 150’s overkill. You should’ve gone for three posts of 50 each, in my opinion. The sheer size is intimidating.
I’m submitting this to digg and Stumbleupon, but I hope you’ll remove the pagination. Those sites’ users don’t like unnecessary diversions, you know.
(PS: nice header image).

Sumesh,
I debated w/ a good friend over how to do it - 3 separate posts of 50 or use the page feature of wordpress to break it down into less bandwidth intensive pages. I was personally of the opinion that if someone really wanted to find a theme they liked, they would rather click ‘next page’ than have to find the next post. My friend took your side - 3 posts of 50 themes. Looks like you guys are the majority
