This walkthrough will take you through every step of installing Microsoft Windows Vista on your Intel Mac (running 10.5 or later), using Boot Camp. Everything works great, but when I try to install the drivers with the Leopard DVD, when i insert the disc, nothing happens and it CONTINUOSLY ejects it automatically after a few seconds of trying to read it. I have a small problem. Man ir neliela problēma. My disk partition with Mac OS X on doesn´t show in the “computer” folder in Vista. I am upgrading the Hard Disk of a macbook pro with dual Leopard/Vista. Es esmu modernizāciju Cietā diska MacBook Pro ar duālu Leopard / Vista.
I did a complete PC backup (of the windows partition only, of course) using Vista's utilities. I did pilnīgs PC backup (no logiem sadalīšanās tikai, protams), izmantojot Vista kom.
I put the larger disk in, Installed Leopard and fully recovered my OSx partition using Time Machine Man lielāka diska, Installed Leopard un pilnībā atgūtas manu OSX nodalījums, izmantojot Time Machine
The Vista recovery need you to boot from the original installation DVD and do a repair instead of sn install. The repair asks for the backup DVD, but there is no way, apparently, to eject the installation DVD to insert the backup DVD and proceed. Little problem with my install though – it seems I get the same error screens and the space taken up by expanding files during install (up to 15G) is still taken up when I finish – ie I have just under 5G left on a 20G hard drive when I finish?!! Little problēma ar manu uzstādīt gan - šķiet, ka man pati kļūda ekrāni un kosmosa uzņemt paplašinot faili laikā uzstādīt (līdz 15G) joprojām ir atbalstīts, kad es apdare - tas man ir tikai zem 5G atstāts 20G cieto disku kad es apdare?!

This was very nice to have along side the Apple Boot Camp Installation & Setup Guide during my first Boot Camp install (new aluminum macbook pro, Leopard 10.5.5, with latest Boot Camp). Everything worked! Viss strādā! No problems except for my temporary panic on how to eject the Vista DVD until I read the fine print. Nav, izņemot manu pagaidu paniku par to, kā izgrūst Vista DVD, kamēr es lasu FINE drukas problēmas. One improvement you and Apple both could make though: there is a lot of upset web ramblings about Vista sp1 breaking Boot Camp/Parallels installations…so I am reluctant to apply any Vista hotfixes and security updates at all, and especially sp1. I can get as far as actually being able to run Vista, but when I try to run the OS X disc, the only thing it does is try to connect my MacBook Air to the internet… I don't have a MacBook Air. I don't know exactly what you mean, but when you insert the Leopard-DVD, you have to go to 'Computer' in Vista, then right-click the DVD, and then choose Explore. Es nezinu, tieši to, ko tu domā, bet, kad ievietojat Leopard-DVD, jums jādodas uz "Computer 'Vista, tad labo pogu noklikšķiniet uz DVD, un pēc tam izvēlieties Izpētīt. Then go to the folder called Boot Camp and run setup.exe. Tad dodieties uz mapi sauc par Boot Camp un palaist setup.exe.

when you restart after installing the bootcamp drivers… take note to hold teh option key and reboot to win.. restartējot pēc instalēšanas Bootcamp draiveri ... ņem vērā rīkot izvēles taustiņu un reboot uzvarēt .. i just allowed a restart and then my mac got stuck in a loop of reading the disk, trying to load mac os and flashing a question mark. Es vienkārši ļāva atsākt un tad mani mac got iestrēdzis cilpa nolasīt disku, mēģinot ielādēt mac os un mirgojošu jautājuma zīmi.

I encountered only one problem which was related to ejecting the dvd under the Vista installation. Man radās tikai viena problēma, kas bija saistīts ar Izgrūž dvd zem Vista uzstādīšana. So I get the same error at partition, and tried disk utility and onyx. Tātad man pati kļūda nodalījumu, un mēģināja disks izmantojamība un onikss. Still no joy. Still no joy. Is it possible to Partition the HD by booting from the OSX DVD, format the new partionion with FAT then run Boot Camp? My partition hung for about 2 hours the first time I tried (I had repaired disk permissions prior to this). Mana partition karājās apmēram 2 stundas pirmo reizi, kad es mēģināju (man bija jālabo disks atļaujas pirms šī). I closed my computer and went to bed. Es slēgts manu datoru un aizgāja gulēt. The next morning I repaired disk permissions again, using first Disk Utility and then Onyx, and then tried again: the partition took about 5 minutes. Nākamajā rītā es remontēt disk permissions vēlreiz, izmantojot pirmo Disk Utility un tad Onyx, un tad mēģināja vēlreiz: partition pagāja apmēram 5 minūtes.
One thing I would add is that if you cancel the partition process, it will look like the hard drive space you've allocated for Windows has “disappeared”. Viena lieta, ko es vēlos piebilst, ka, ja jūs atcelt sadalīšanās process, tas izskatās cietā diska vieta jūsu piešķirti Windows ir "pazudis". Use Boot Camp itself to reformat and recover this “lost” space (the option will present itself when you open boot camp after the cancelled partition), and then start over again. i got stuck on #13, after formatting an error saying at least 6000 something MB had to be available and there were at least 5GB available. i got uzlīmējis # 13, pēc formatēšanas kļūdas sakot, vismaz 6.000 kaut MB bija pieejams un tur bija vismaz 5GB pieejams. I tried to format again and still the same error so I quit the install. Es mēģināju formatēt atkal un joprojām pati kļūda, tāpēc es atmest instalēt. Now… I can't get back to the mac part and it shows a screen saying something about no bootable drive, please install disk. Now ... I can't get back to mac daļa un tas rāda ekrāns sakot, kaut kas nav bootable disku, lūdzu, instalējiet diska.

I went through the same problems as you did: my Snow Leopard was not able to partition the drive (ARDAgent error). Es devos ar tādas pašas problēmas kā jūs: mans Snow Leopard nevarēja sadalīt drive (ARDAgent kļūda). I had to wipe the HD clean and then fresh install everythign. Man bija izdzēst HD tīru un tad svaigi instalētu everythign. Installing XP (I did not do Vista) was a breeze. Instalējot XP (I didn't do Vista) bija brīze. Now I am restoring from my Time Machine. Tagad es esmu atjaunot no mana Time Machine. Thanks a lot for this super guide. Thanks daudz par šo super guide.
