). Εντούτοις, Firefox συνεχίζει να χρησιμοποιεί την παλαιά εικόνα στο φραγμό αναζήτησης.

Για να μεταπηδήσει στη νέα εικόνα στο φραγμό αναζήτησης Firefox σας, συνεχίστε.
Για να ενημερώσει Firefox και να αναγκάσετε το κιβώτιο αναζήτησης για να επιδείξει τη νέα εικόνα, μεταφορτώστε και εγκαταστήστε Προσθέστε στο φραγμό αναζήτησης Addon (προηγουμένως αναθεωρημένος εδώ) - ποιες εργασίες και σε Firefox 2.x και σε 3. Όπως με όλο το Firefox addons, θα πρέπει να ξαναξεκινήσετε Firefox αφότου έχει εγκαταστήσει.
Τώρα επίσκεψη http://www.google.com. Σωστός-κρότος (CTRL-κρότος για τους λαούς της MAC ενιαίος-κουμπιών) στο κιβώτιο αναζήτησης Google και επίλεκτος Προσθέστε στο φραγμό αναζήτησης…
Ένα μικρό υπερεμφανιζόμενο παράθυρο θα εμφανιστεί ζητώντας σας για να ονομάσει (και να επιλέξει μια εικόνα) τη νέα αναζήτηση. Αφήστε τις προεπιλογές και χτυπήστε ΕΝΤΑΞΕΙ
Τώρα θα παρατηρήσετε τη νέα εικόνα Google στο φραγμό αναζήτησής σας.
Για να αφαιρέσετε την παλαιά είσοδο Google (και να κάνει τη νέα την προεπιλογή) επιλέξτε το βέλος δίπλα στη νέα εικόνα Google και επιλέξτε Διαχειριστείτε τις μηχανές αναζήτησης… από τον κατάλογο.
Κατ' αρχάς, επιλέξτε τη νέα είσοδο Google σας και χτυπήστε Κίνηση επάνω κουμπώστε έως ότου είναι στην κορυφή.
Μόλις είναι στην κορυφή, δώστε έμφαση στη «παλαιά» είσοδο Google και χτυπήστε Αφαιρέστε κουμπί. Όταν γίνεστε, χτυπήστε ΕΝΤΑΞΕΙ
Αυτό είναι αυτό - γίνεστε. Απολαύστε σας τη νέα εικόνα Google στο κιβώτιο αναζήτησης Firefox σας.

Wow, that was a lot easier than I thought it would be. I hadn’t heard of that plugin before either, thanks!!
After installing the extension, finding out it is NOT compatible with 3.0RC1, enabling Nightly Tester Tools, forcing compatibility…. The option to Add to Search Bar is not present.

Admittedly I did the install on FF 3B5, but assumed (I know) that since the addon page said “Firefox: 2.0 ? 3.0.*” that included RC1. Sorry about that.
There is the possibility that there’s a conflict with another extension of course…
I finally edited the XML file in the searchplugins and changed the icon there. But you have to convert the file to hex code and that was a process I’m still not quite sure how I did (it involved a commandline on Linux).. Would be nice if firefox accepted a URL for the search icon in the xml file.

Imho the REAL interesting thing is how to NOT get the sh*** icon in my firefox and get the old one back.
The vast majority of users disagrees on the new icon for what i read on the blogs.
Ill fiddle around .

There’s just one thing: with the new search bar I don’t get the automatic suggestions anymore.
