Onlangs contacteerde een vroegere medewerker van mijn me om me over zijn nieuw opstarten te vertellen - BackBlaze. Ik gaf de dienst een poging, en ik moet toelaten - dit is veruit de gemakkelijkste reservedienst die ik ooit heb gebruikt. Houd lezend voor het volledige overzicht en een verbinding om de dienst een poging te geven.
De Filosofie van Backblaze: Steun Alle Gegevens
De dienst Backblaze steunt al uw gegevens. Wij geloven u niet zich zou moeten moeten ongerust maken of u alle dossiers selecteerde u om geeft, om het even welke dossiers in een verschillende plaats op uw computer, zette of om het even welke nieuwe dossiers toevoegde die niet in uw steun kunnen worden omvat. Daarom selecteren wij automatisch al uw gegevens.
Uitgesloten Dossiers
Backblaze wil niet uw bandbreedte of Backblaze datacenter schijfruimte verspillen. Aldus, wij niet reserve uw werkend systeem, programmadossiers, of tijdelijke Internet dossiers die voorbijgaand zijn en zouden niet nuttig in de toekomst zijn. Op het ogenblik sluiten wij ook bepaalde e-maildossiertypes uit aangezien zij met elke ontvangen e-mail veranderen en het volledige grote dossier worden gesteund en dossiers die individueel meer dan 100 MB zijn. U kunt deze uitsluitingen zien door te klikken? Meer Opties?? bij het Comité van de Controle en selecteren? Sluit van uit Steun? tabel.
En hun software volgt echt hun filosofie. U stelt de installateur in werking, en u wordt gedaan. BackBlaze vindt elk van uw Foto's/beelden, Muziek, Movies, Documenten, Browser Favorieten en Referenties enz., en steunt hen. Zij hebben steunen zo eenvoudig gemaakt dat ja, zelfs uw ouders het kunnen doen.
Aan het eind van de installatie, BackBlaze u wat het precies vertelt gaat beginnen te steunen (nota: er zijn zo weinig dossiers in screenshot hieronder omdat ik de software op een bijna nieuw Uitzicht installeer gebruikte).
U kunt steunen op elk ogenblik pauzeren, en het „uiteinden“ venster zal door diverse suggesties/uiteinden voor BackBlaze roteren.
De leiding Montages de pagina staat voor u toe om de bandbreedte te wurgen die voor steunen wordt gebruikt, het berichtprogramma te veranderen, en de hoogste folders uit te geven.
Van Programma pagina u hoe vaak kunt veranderen de steunen voorkomen. U zult waarschijnlijk standaard het plaatsen willen verlaten, zodat de dossiers worden geupload zodra zij worden toegevoegd/veranderd.
By default, BackBlaze includes all of the Windows System folders to be excluded from being backed up. You can also use this section to add folders that you don’t want BackBlaze to backup.
The Files Scheduled for Backup tab lists exactly what you’d think - all of the files currently scheduled to be backed up.
There are currently 3 methods to restore your backups, and there’s a chance that before the product becomes “final”, they will have changed. The existing options are: 1) Back From The Web. You can choose sets of 1GB or less (BackBlaze zips your files into a 1GB zip file and you download that file). You can download an unlimited number of 1GB zip files. 2) BackBlaze will FedEx a 4.7GB DVD of your files. A fee applies, and this is one of the options that may be removed. 3). BackBlaze will load 160GB of your files onto a USB hard drive, and FedEx the drive to you. A fee applies for this option as well, and the final price has yet to be set.
The web interface, as seen below, is quite easy to navigate and use. You just select the files you want to restore, and choose a restoration method.
BackBlaze runs in the background all the time. It uses very little system resources and really does define the “set it and forget it” philosophy of software.
Pros and Cons
As I mentioned at the start of this review, this company was founded by a former co-worker. So in the interest of being completely fair, I will list some of the shortcomings of BackBlaze in addition to the benefits. Here goes.

I had never heard of backblaze before, but its very useful and and as you said, very easy to use.

The very private beta started earlier this year, it wasn’t until yesterday (Monday, June 2nd) that they started to open the private beta a bit more.
Great concept! I downloaded the backblaze installer and it has been analyzing my drive for 2 hours…hope it finds what it needs…stay tuned for further updates.
I work at Backblaze and yesterday was a big day for us. We had some press from other sites and the beta slots filled up quickly.
After working a year and a half on the product, we are excited about people’s response. We are having some growing pains, so if the install hangs on the Analyzing Drive part, you may want to try the install again. It shouldn’t take longer then 5 minutes for the install to finish.
