Banshee is a media player that includes the following features: listen to music, watch videos, rip and burn CDs, displays cover art, tons of plugins, controllable via keyboard shortcuts, smart playlists, the ability to rate your music and manage your iPod and/or MP3 player. 1. To get started, click System -> Administration and then select Software Sources . Lai sāktu, noklikšķiniet uz System -> Administration un pēc tam atlasiet Software Sources. Enter your password if prompted. Ievadiet paroli, ja tas tiek pieprasīts.

2. Select the Third-Party Software tab. Izvēlieties trešo pušu programmatūru tab.

3. Click the + Add… button. Noklikšķiniet uz + Pievienot pogu .... If you're using Ubuntu 8.04 (Hardy Heron) – which is the version I'm using in these screenshots, add the line: Ja jūs izmantojat Ubuntu 8,04 (Hardy Heron) - kas ir versija Es, izmantojot šo ekrānšāviņi, pievienojiet line:

4. Back at the Third-Party Software tab, click the Close button. Atpakaļ trešās puses programmatūru cilnē, noklikšķiniet uz pogas Aizvērt. You'll be prompted to update your software sources. Jums tiks piedāvāts atjaunināt jūsu programmatūras avotiem. Do so now by clicking the Reload button. Darīt tagad, noklikšķinot Pārlādēt pogu.

5. Once the software sources have been updated, open a Terminal (select Applications -> Accessories -> Terminal ) and enter: Kad programmatūras avotiem ir atjauninātas, atveriet Terminal (select Applications -> Accessories -> Terminal) un ievadiet:

   sudo apt-get install banshee-1 sudo apt-get install Banshee-1

   You'll probably be prompted to enter your password – do so. Jūs, iespējams, tiks piedāvāts ievadīt paroli - do so.

6. Banshee will determine all of the other software that needs to be installed on your system in order for it to work, and ask you if you want to install it all. Banshee noteiks visu citu programmatūru, kas nepieciešams uzstādīt jūsu sistēmas, lai tas darbotos, un lūdzu Jūs, ja vēlaties instalēt visu. Hit the y key on your keyboard to install it all. Hit y taustiņu uz tastatūras, lai uzstādītu to visu.

7. If you're “warned” about some packages not being able to be authenticated, click y again. Ja jūs "brīdina" par dažiem iepakojumi nespēj autentiskumu, noklikšķiniet y vēlreiz.

8. And now Banshee and all of it's dependencies will download and install themselves. Un tagad Banshee un visiem tas ir atkarības lejupielādēt un instalēt sevi. When it's done, you'll be returned to a blinking prompt. Kad tas ir izdarīts, jūs atpakaļ mirgo ātri. Close down the Terminal now. Slēgt Terminal tagad.

9. Select Applications -> Sound & Video and then Banshee Media Player . Select Applications -> Sound & Video un tad Banshee Media Player. Banshee will launch now. Banshee sāks tagad.

10. From here you can start exploring Banshee and all of its options. No šejienes jūs varat sākt pētīt Banshee un visas tā iespējas. Add some media and give it a listen/watch. Pievienot plašsaziņas līdzekļiem un sniegt to klausīties / skatīties.

11. If you have a Last.FM account, sign in to it through Banshee and you can access all kinds of goodies. Ja jums ir Last.FM konta, pierakstieties tā īstenošanu, Banshee, un Jūs varat piekļūt visa veida labumi.

12. Hover your cursor over the Banshee icon in your menu and a pop-up will appear showing the current track playing, album art, and a slider to Fast Forward or Rewind the track. Novietojiet kursoru virs Banshee ikona savu ēdienkarti un pop-up parādīsies parāda pašreizējo atskaņots, albuma mākslas un slīdni uz Fast Forward vai Rewind ceļa.
