How to resize twhirl when the sizing “corner” is off-screen (OS X)

Usually re-sizing twhirl is a walk in the park. Just grab the bottom-right corner and drag it to your preferred size. What happens when that corner moves itself off-screen and you can’t get it back? (eg. you opened a Virtual Machine in Parallels and went full-screen - then when you returned to OS X your apps decided to resize themselves). This brief tutorial will show you how to reset twhirl so it can be properly sized.

  1. Normally, you’d just grab the bottom corner (see image below) and drag to your heart’s content.
  2. bottom right corner of twhirl

  3. Sometimes, generally when screen resolutions are changed, twhirl will be “auto” resized in such a way that you can’t actually reach the bottom right corner to adjust it.
  4. twhirl moves offscreen

  5. Right-click (ctrl-click for single mouse-button folks) - or click and hold down the button for a few seconds, the twhirl icon in your Dock. When the menu appears, select Resize windows.

  7. And now twhirl will be “shrunk” to a manageable size. Adjust as you see fit. That’s it!
