About a month ago I decided I was going to do something about the insanely loud noise coming from my PC. I incorrectly assumed it was one of the large fans at the back causing what sounded like a jet-engine noise. I správne predpokladal, že to bol jeden z veľkých fanúšikov na zadnej spôsobuje to, čo znelo ako jet-hluk motora. Turns out, it was the tiny little fan on the video card creating all the ruckus. If your video card is running loudly, follow the steps outlined below to quiet the little guy down. If you have a new super-fancy card, you'll probably have to improvise a bit as they can be almost completely encased in the cooling system/fan(s). - To make your video card run quietly, you'll need the following items: Ak vaša grafická karta beží ticho, budete potrebovať nasledovné položky:
- A normal sized Phillips head screwdriver Normálne veľkosti Phillips skrutkovač
- A “small” sized Phillips head screwdriver "Malé" veľkosti Phillips skrutkovač
- Ideally, very fine high-grade machine oil. V ideálnom prípade, veľmi jemné high-grade stroj olej. Sewing machine oil worked fine for me. Šijací stroj olej pracoval citlivý do mňa.
- A hypodermic syringe. Injekčná striekačka. If you don't have one handy, a sewing needle, sharp thumb-tack or push-pin will also work Ak nemáte po ruke, šijacie ihly, ostrý palec-tack, alebo push-pin bude aj pracovať
- A loud video card Hlasité grafické karty
- Turn off your PC. Vypnite počítač. Unplug the power to it. Odpojte napájací na to. Remove the casing from your computer. Odstráňte kryt z vášho počítača. Most cases have an “easy access door” on the side, but if you have an older PC you might have to unscrew it from the back. Väčšina prípadov "ľahký prístup dvere" na boku, ale ak máte starší počítač pravdepodobne budete musieť odskrutkujte od zadnej.
- Use the regular size Phillips head screwdriver to unscrew your video card, and carefully remove it from your PC. - If you don't have a syringe and you're using a sewing needle, thumb-tack or push-pin, poke a hole through the sticker. Ak nemáte injekčnej striekačky a používate šijacie ihly, palec-tack, alebo push-pin, hrabať dieru štítku. Carefully put one drop of oil on top of the hole, and use the pin to work the oil through the hole into the ball-bearing cavity. Starostlivo dať jednu kvapku oleja na vrchole otvor, a používať na prácu pin olej otvorom do guľôčkové ložisko-dutiny.
- Now place your finger on top of the small hole created by the needle/pin, and spin the video card fan around a few times. Plug the power back in, and turn it on. Zapojte napájací späť, a zapnite ju. Once your card heats up to the point where the fan turns on, it should be running completely silent! Bravo! Bravo! You gave me the incentive to try it. Jsi mi dal motiváciu skúsiť to. i wasn't able to puncture the label, but was able to apply oil to the shaft after raising the fan blades up and it worked! Nebol som schopný na prepichnutie obalu, ale bol schopný používať olej na hriadeľ po zvýšení lopatky ventilátora hore a vyšlo to! i save a nice chunk of $$$$. uložiť aj pekný kus $$$$.

Awesome, my fan has been buzzing off and on for months now, finally to the point of occasionally buzzing and waking me up at night. I'd tried removing the fan and dusting it off, but the machine oil seems to have done the trick. I didn't have machine oil or a hypodermic needle, so I used some 3-in-1 and fed it in with a push-pin. Nemal som stroj olej alebo injekčnou ihlou, takže som použil asi 3-v-1 a kŕmil ju s push-pin. This may prove to be a bad move, but at least the card is quiet for now. To sa môže ukázať ako zlý ťah, ale aspoň je karta pokoj do teraz. I was set to just tear it out and replace it, so the 3-in-1 certainly shouldn't make things any worse. Ja bol stanovený na len roztrhať ju a nahradiť ju, tak 3-v-1 rozhodne by nemala robiť veci ešte horšie.

Ik zat al weken met een videokaart die een gruwelijk geluid maakte, de laatste dagen verschrikkelijk veel harder dan de weken ervoor. ok, i'll try it tommorow,kinda night now. ok, skúsim to zajtra, trochu noc. at the service they charged me about 3 euros for making my fan silent again (because they didn't have an other one), when i came back at home there is just a small diference in the buzz, but it still exist… na služby, ktoré mi rozkázal, aby som približne 3 eurá za čo som tichý ventilátor znova (pretože nemal druhý), keď som prišiel späť doma, tam je len malá diferencia v brnknout, ale ešte stále existujú ...

Very useful tip with enough documentation to make it worth trying. Veľmi dobrý tip dostatok dokumentácie, aby to stojí za pokus. I am keeping my fingers crossed my noisy 7600gs agp stays quiet for a while. Som vedenie palca môj hlučný 7600GS agp pobyty na chvíľu pokoj. Not a good time to be buying unnecessary pc stuff. Nie je vhodná doba na nákup ks zbytočné veci.
