Eee PC Linux

This very brief tutorial will show you how to enable WiFi (wireless Internet) on your Eee PC that’s running Eeedora (Fedora).

  1. Click the “X” button in the far left of your bottom panel, and select Network -> WiFi Radar.
  2. If your wireless network is already listed, select it and click the Edit button. If it’s not listed, click the New button.
  3. Enter the name of your wireless network (if it’s not already listed) and then select the arrow to expand the WiFi Options menu. Make the appropriate selections in each section for your wireless network, and then click the Save button.
  4. Now click Connect. You’ll be connected to your wireless network, and your IP address will be displayed at the bottom of the window.

I have an EEEPC 4GB Surf. I installed eeeFedora but now the wireless doesn’t seem to work at all. The FUNCTION>F2 wireless keys now do nothing. I followed the above instructions, but it simply cannot find the network - even though I am using that network right now on another computer to communicate with you.
    Please help, thanks.
