- A primeira coisa que você terá que fazer é permitir uma outra fonte do software. Do Netbook Remix painel seleto Administração e então Fontes do software. Selecione Software Third-Party a aba, e coloca uma verificação na caixa ao lado de sócio hardy de http://archive.canonical.com/ubuntu. Estale então Fim tecla.
- Você será alertado atualizar as fontes do software. Estale Reload tecla. Fará exame de um minuto ou de dois para que as fontes refresquem, e quando são feitos a janela fechar-se-á.
- Uma vez que se fechou, seleto Acessórios no Netbook Remix o painel, e então Terminal.
- Do alerta de comando, incorpore a seguinte linha:
o sudo apartamento-começa instala o kubuntu-desktop
Incorpore sua senha quando alertado.
- Um grupo do texto voará perto, e ser-lhe-á perguntado se você quiser continuar. Bata y chave em seu teclado a indicar “sim”.
- Maneira da parte através da instalação você será alertado com uma mensagem sobre funcionar gerentes múltiplos da exposição. Bata Entre chave para reconhecer esta mensagem.
- Ser-lhe-á perguntado então que gerente da exposição você quer usar pelo defeito. Eu opted para KDM, mas a escolha é sua. Eu sugeriria KDM - você continua a usar Netbook Remix, e funciona apps de KDE. No fato, o desktop e a relação próprio remanescerão quase idênticos. A única diferença principal é a tela do início de uma sessão.
- A instalação terminará eventualmente acima.
- Registro para fora e para trás dentro outra vez. You’ll notice a lot of new apps are installed (for example, check the Internet panel of Netbook Remix).
- One of the many new apps is Konqueror, a web browser, file manager and file viewer all-in-one application. Give it a test run.
- That’s it – you’re done. Be sure to check the terrific music player/manager Amarok too (found in the Sound & Video panel).
Could you give an indication as to how much disk space was required to effect this improvement?
About 800MB. With that said, you can of course go through and delete the apps you’re not going to use, reclaiming some of that space. It’s not an issue for as my Eee PC has a 15GB drive and I use an 8GB SD card as my /home folder. There’s still over 10GB of space on the main drive to install more junk.
But yes, those w/ earlier models or smaller drives may want to avoid the full KDE install.
Yeah, I’m going to have to forego such a large install on my 4GB eeep. It is, of course, also possible to install individual KDE apps.
I strongly suggest you don’t do this, KDE just adds lots of junk to your disk and there is no easy way that I could find to back it out.

One persons junk is another persons “useful stuff”. I really like having the KDE apps available on my Eee PC.
apt-get remove kubuntu-desktop
will get rid of everything.

‘apt-get remove kubuntu-desktop’ does not get rid of everything! It removes 45.1 kb of stuff. I’d like to go back to how things were before and just install the 5 KDE apps I really want.
