How to resize Linux partitions using GParted Comment faire pour redimensionner les partitions Linux en utilisant GParted

Sometimes you want to change your partition layout after you’ve been using your system for awhile. Parfois, vous souhaitez modifier votre partition après la mise en page que vous avez été l'aide de votre système pendant un certain temps. One great too for this job is GParted. 1. Once you download it and burn it to a disc, just boot from it and you should see a screen like this: Une fois que vous le télécharger et le graver sur un disque, il suffit de démarrer à partir d'elle et vous devriez voir un écran comme ceci:

2. I prefer to run GParted with Safe Graphic Settings . Je préfère courir avec GParted Safe graphiques. Just use the up and down arrows to select the mode you want. Il vous suffit d'utiliser les flèches haut et bas pour sélectionner le mode que vous souhaitez.

6. I prefer to run GParted in a lower screen resolution. Je préfère courir GParted dans une plus faible résolution de l'écran. 7. At the command prompt type sudo Forcevideo and press Enter . À l'invite de commandes, tapez sudo Forcevideo et appuyez sur Entrée.

8. I usually choose 800×600 and 16 bit color. J'ai l'habitude de choisir 800 × 600 et couleurs 16 bits.

10. In this example I’m going to shrink my main Linux partition to make my Swap partition larger. Dans cet exemple, je vais à diminuer ma partition Linux principale de faire de ma partition d'échange plus grande. Start by right-clicking on /dev/hda1 and selecting Resize/Move . Commencez par cliquer sur le bouton droit sur / dev/hda1 et de la sélection Redimensionner / Déplacer.

11. You can drag the arrows at the right or left of the partition to resize it, or just type the values you want in the boxes below. Vous pouvez faire glisser les flèches à droite ou à gauche de la partition à redimensionner, ou tapez les valeurs que vous voulez dans les cases ci-dessous. In this example I chose to shrink the partition by 261 MB. Dans cet exemple, j'ai choisi de réduire la partition de 261 MB.

12. Click Resize/Move and you are back at the main GParted screen. Cliquez sur Redimensionner / Déplacer et vous serez de retour à l'écran principal GParted. Notice the information in the lower pane of the window showing the pending operation. Avis de l'information dans le volet inférieur de la fenêtre montrant l'opération en attendant.

13. Next, Right-click on the /dev/hda2 extended partition and select Resize/Move . Ensuite, un clic-droit sur l'/ dev/hda2 partition étendue et sélectionnez Redimensionner / Déplacer.

15. I dragged the left edge of the partition all the way to the left in order to consume all the free space, then clicked Resize/Move . J'ai traîné le bord gauche de la partition tout à fait à gauche afin de consommer tout l'espace libre, puis cliquez sur Redimensionner / Déplacer.

16. Next, right-click on /dev/hda5 , the linux-swap partition and select Resize/Move . Ensuite, cliquez avec le bouton droit sur / dev/hda5, la liste de diffusion linux-partition de swap et sélectionner Redimensionner / Déplacer.

17. By now this should look familiar. A l'heure actuelle, ce qui devrait semblera familier.
