7. Once you've completed the online purchase process (which is very painless) – enter your serial number in the space provided and then click the Activate now button. 9. Now, before you download and install any driver updates, it's a very good idea to backup your existing drivers first. 19. That means the driver has its own installation package, and you'll have to follow the steps to install it. Should the need arise, or you notice that the hardware that had device drivers updated isn't behaving correctly (sound doesn't work after updating the sound card drivers etc) – select the Restore tab. The defaults are fine, but I prefer to have programs always close when I click the “X” – so I changed that setting.
