Όπως πιθανοί ξέρετε ήδη, Google έχει ενημερώσει favicon.ico τους από εγκιβωτισμένος Γ (
) σε έναν πεζό (χωρίς το κιβώτιο) γ (
). Εντούτοις, Firefox συνεχίζει να χρησιμοποιεί την παλαιά εικόνα στο φραγμό αναζήτησης.

Το Google άλλαξε πρόσφατα το τους favicon.ico πάντα τον εξοικειωμένο που εγκιβωτίζεται από Γ, σε έναν μικρότερο γ. Εάν δεν είστε ένας μεγάλος ανεμιστήρας της νέας εικόνας, μπορείτε εγκαταστήστε αυτό το χειρόγραφο Greasemonkey και προσποιηθείτε ότι η αλλαγή δεν συνέβη ποτέ. Θα πρέπει φυσικά Firefox (ή Σαφάρι) ως μηχανή αναζήτησης σας στα χειρόγραφα Greasemonkey χρήσης.

Χρησιμοποιώντας την κατάπληξη Firefox Addon GMarks, μπορείτε να εισαγάγετε τους σελιδοδείκτες Firefox σας στους σελιδοδείκτες Google, και να προσθέσετε έπειτα ένα στοιχείο επιλογών GMarks για να αντικαταστήσετε τους σελιδοδείκτες Firefox σας. Using the Firefox Add-on GooglePreview, you can have thumbnails displayed next to each search result for both Google and Yahoo.
