The following is a “screenshot simulation” of the Network Settings for OS X v10.5 (Leopard). Your ISP will determine what the correct settings are for you. When in doubt, check with them.
Since its been a while since I posted a screenshot sim (also referred to as screenshot simulators) I’ll give a brief explanation of their intent. This simulation can be used when helping someone configure their network/Internet settings remotely - and you’re not in front of a Mac running Leopard. Anything high-lighted is clickable.
This screenshot sim will launch in a new window/tab when you select System Preferences… from the Apple icon in the menu bar.

This screenshot simulation covers the Accounts, Options and Junk E-mail Options sections of Microsoft Windows Mail (the Outlook Express replacement for Vista).
Similar to the other screenshot simulations, this one opens in a new window.
Start by opening Windows Mail and selecting Tools

Next time I promise I’ll use jpg or png or higher quality gifs. Lots more Vista stuff coming soon!
If you need to guide someone through the TCP/IP properties/settings in Windows Vista, but don’t have Vista installed (or nearby), you can use this simulation
(note: sim opens in a new window so check your pop-up blocker if nothing seems to happen)

The following is a ’screenshot simulation’ of the Internet Explorer 7.0 Options (settings). This simulation (like all of the others) can be used when helping someone configure their IE 7 options/settings remotely (and you’re not in front of a PC with IE 7 installed).
note: heya IE7 sim users - I’ve started on the Vista simulations - do you have any requests for other simulations? If so, please contact me!.
The sim will launch in a new window/tab when you select Internet Options
