How to play .nsv files in OS X

Playing NSV (Nullsoft Streaming Video) files in OS X is actually quite easy. You just have to download and install MPlayer for OS X. For complete instructions, keep reading.

  1. The installation is a snap - just drag MPlayer OSX from the .dmg into your Applications folder.
  2. Double-click a .nsv file and click the Choose Application… button when the warning window appears

  4. Navigate to your Applications folder, select MPlayer OSX from the list, and click OK

  6. MPlayer for OS X will launch and you’ll be watching your .nsv video.
