This overview will explain how to use CyberDuck - a free FTP client for OS X.

  1. Start by downloading CyberDuck. Open the .dmg file once the download has completed, and drag CyberDuck to your Applications folder to install it. Once it’s installed, launch it from your Applications.

  5. Enter the Server name in the space provided. The server name is usually provided to you by whomever created your FTP account. The default Port for FTP is 21, so leave that setting unless you’re sure your account is on a different port. Now enter your Username and Password in the spaces provided. Again, these are usually provided to you by whomever created the account for you. When all of that information is in place, click the Connect button.

Does cyberduck only upload the new or changed pages like the w2w system you mention in your other article?

Re: instructions, it says here “Enter the Server name in the space provided. The server name is usually provided to you by whomever created your FTP account.” If a third party has not created an FTP account as suggested, how does one get a server name?
    Thanks, NF
