Qimo é um sistema operando-se desktop projetado para miúdos. Baseado no desktop aberto de Ubuntu Linux da fonte, Qimo vem instalado com jogos educacionais para as crianças envelhecidas 3 e levanta.

A relação de Qimo foi projetada ser intuitive e fácil de usar-se, fornecendo ícones grandes para todos os jogos instalados, de modo que mesmo os usuários os mais novos não tivessem nenhum problema selecionar a atividade que querem.

Qimo necessita um mínimo de 256MB da memória funcionar do CD, ou 192MB à instalação. 6 GB do espaço da movimentação dura são recomendados pelo menos, e um 400MHz ou um processador central mais rápido. Por causa de suas exigências muito mínimas do sistema, é um ósmio fantástico a instalar nesse PC velho que senta-se em seu armário e a pôr em seu quarto dos childs.

Sometimes when you want to store your backup or any other large set of files online or want to share them someone else you need to find a way to compress and split the files into chunks of 100 or more Megabytes. I felt the need for this as well recently when I wanted to store my backups online and the online storage service had a cap of 100 MB per file.
