I just did a bit of research and found that you have to reboot your Roku device to get the subtitles to change. Did you try that?

It’s only within the past few days that the captions in Netflix started being so large that it blocks the picture. My wife is hard of hearing and we need to use the captioning, but it’s impossible with the current size.

You can create as many styles and colors as you want BUT the trick to getting them to work on the Netflix app is the video override button below each style or color. If you don’t slide that over, it will continue to show the default style Netflix chooses, which is white only.

I may have really messed up the way “things” are put on the notebook screen. I need the fonts larger – for everything. So, I used the Display Settings to change fonts and sizes and now lots of things are displayed incorrectly, lots of boxes. Boxes for the rating “stars”, boxes for the left arrow and right arrow Netflix uses to navigate.
