Modem Light Indicators
Power Off – modem is not receiving power
On – modem power is activated and receiving power
USB Off – no USB connection is present
Flashing – cable modem is transferring data over the USB cable
On – indicates that the cable modem is properly connected to the computer’s USB port
Ethernet Off – the Ethernet port is not in use
Flashing – cable modem is transferring data over the Ethernet cable
On – indicates that the cable modem is properly connected to the computer’s Ethernet port
Send Flashing – the cable modem is sending data to the internet
Receive Flashing – The cable modem is receiving data from the internet

During initialization, LED flashes slowly to indicate that the cable modem is searching for a downstream channel.

Sync On – the cable modem has established a downstream channel
Ready Off (POWER and SYNC are lit) – modem is disabled for service
Flashing Slowly – modem is gathering upstream parameters
Flashing Quickly – modem is downloading the configuration file
On – modem aqcuired
