How to Block Someone on Facebook

This tutorial explain step by step how to block someone on Facebook so that they can’t interact with

Unfortunately, blocking someone on Facebook doesn’t really stop that person from seeing everything you do or completely stop them from interacting with you.

As Facebook explains:

When you block someone, they won’t be able to:

See things you post on your profile.

Tag you in posts, comments or photos.

Invite you to events or groups.

Start a conversation with you.

Add you as a friend.

When you block someone, you also won’t be able to do things like start a conversation with them or add them as a friend. Keep in mind that blocking someone may not prevent all communications or interactions (example: in apps or groups) and only affects your interactions with that person on Facebook.

It’s also worth mentioning that when you block someone, not only will they not be able to see what “you’re doing” on Facebook – you won’t be able to see what they’re doing either. It is a two-way block.

1. Start by signing into your Facebook account.
2. Visit the profile page for the person you want to block. First locate and click the button with “3 dots” (see screenshot below). From the list of options select Block (note: the list of options may vary but Block will always be one of them).
3. When prompted, click the Confirm button.
4. Should you ever decide to unblock this person, go to your Facebook Settings -> Privacy -> Blocking and then click the Unblock link next to the name of the individual you wish to unblock.

You may wish to look into blocking Facebook Pages as well (the process is nearly identical as it is for blocking a person).
