This guide will take you step by step through the process of splitting/cutting an .MKV video file into two different files.
Please note: the steps and screenshots in this guide are specific to Windows. With that said, if you’re using macOS or Linux you’ll have absolutely no trouble following along, those versions are nearly identical to the Windows version.

I just want to say a big thank you for this short tutorial. I hate those Disney and so on logos at the start of an episode for a series and how they appear on random episodes (not all!). This way I removed them and now all my episodes start right into the series :)

Followed with one change -
I ripped a DVD, then used HandBrake to create a 6.8 gb mkv.
I used MKVtools as described, but set one point for the first duration, which was the end of the first episode.
I ended up with ALL six episodes, cleanly, neatly and extremly well played in an MKV video format.
