This (brief) tutorial is by no means the ‘only’ way to install KDE 4 in OS X. However, it’s probably the easiest. Please, you should add (in the very first sentence!) that this is not a KDE4 “final” install, but one of the very first *Alpha* releases. I think between that and the other ‘disclaimers’ it’s pretty clear that this isn’t final, isn’t stable and really only for folks that want to experiment a bit. I installed this on an external drive (13 gigs is a bit too much space for something that I am planning to mess around with (as opposed to using it every day) And it worked pretty well, however, as it is an alpha release, I have no doubt that there are problems. I’m just starting using OSX Ich bin gerade erst anfangen mit OSX
Ok …im finish install the packages (kde4) …but now how can i uninstall it since it already took huge amount of my hd?….Please somebody enlightent me…. Ok… im Finish Installation der Pakete (kde4)… aber jetzt, wie kann ich es deinstallieren, da es bereits hat riesige Menge meiner HD?…. Bitte jemanden enlightent mir….

If you want to delete everything, go to /opt/ and delete the kde4, kde4-deps and qt4 folders (and all of their sub-folders). Wenn Sie möchten, dass alles zu löschen, gehen Sie nach / opt / und löschen Sie die kde4, kde4-deps und qt4 Ordner (und alle ihre Sub-Ordner). Simple apps worked great, like Kate, but Amarok was a crashing beast. Einfache Anwendungen gearbeitet groß, wie Kate, aber Amarok war ein Tier zum Absturz zu bringen.
I’m exited to see this happening and can’t wait for it to get all ported to OS X. Kate is a great text editor for programming and Amarok beats the pants off of iTunes, imo. Ich bin verlassen, um zu sehen, dies geschieht und kann nicht warten, bis sie alle portiert auf OS X. Kate ist eine große Texteditor für die Programmierung und Amarok Beats aus der Hose von iTunes, IMO.
