Modem Light Indicators
Power

Flashing – Startup diagnostics in progress.
On – Cable modem is powered on.

Receive

Flashing – Scanning for a downstream channel.
On – Downstream channel is connected.

SendFlashing – Scanning for an upstream channel.
On – Upstream channel is connected.
Online

Flashing – Scanning for a network connection.
On – Startup process complete. Modem aqcuired.

Activity

Flashing or On – Transmitting or receiving data.

Standby

This light turns on when the standby button is pressed and standby
mode is activated.
Notes and Useful Information:

This modem has a standby button located on the top of the unit. When activated, the LED lights turn off (except the standby LED) indicating the ethernet and usb ports are disabled. Note: The cable connection to the service provider remains active.

This modem was recalled from at least one large cable ISP in the US.
