How to install the OS X Leopard skin on your Windows Mobile Smartphones

As long as there has been a Windows and a Mac OS, people have come up with themes to make one look like the other. This brief guide will show you how to install and set up the OS X Leopard skin for Windows Mobile Smartphones.

Please note: This guide was published back in 2007 and unfortunately the software is no longer available for downloading.

  1. First you’ll need to download the OS X Leopard skin for Windows Mobile Smarthpones (Update: download link no longer works). Extract the two files, OS X Leopard.home.xml and OS X Leopard.jpg, to a folder somewhere on your hard drive.
  2. Connect your Smartphone via ActiveSync, Windows Mobile Device Center or by whatever method you use to transfer files to your Smartphone. Upload the two files to the \Application Data\Home folder on your Smartphone.

  4. In your Smartphone settings, change the Home screen layout: to OS X Leopard, the Color scheme: to Default and the Background image: to OS X Leopard. Click Done and return to your Home screen.

  6. And now your Windows Mobile Smartphone will look very Leopard’ish.
