How to Stop OneDrive From Asking You to Sign Up on Your Samsung Device

Every. Single. Day. If you don’t stop it, OneDrive will send you Notifications on a daily basis asking you to sign up for its service (Back Up Your Photos to OneDrive). If you try uninstalling OneDrive from your Samsung tablet or phone (probably a Galaxy), it will often re-install itself, and the Notifications return. Here are the (very few) steps to get OneDrive to stop asking you to sign up and/or send you Notifications.

OneDrive nagging to be installed on Android

  1. From the Notification Center, tap and hold the Back up your photos to OneDrive notification.
  2. The background for that notification will change colors, and a small “i” will appear on the far right side. Tap the i
  3. Now toggle (switch) the Block notifications to ON (see screenshot below)
  4. That’s it – no more nagging from OneDrive!

  1. Don’t understand when you have already subscribed to One Drive and have paid why the stupid notifications have to com to your phone! I resent the whole thing!!

  2. Unfortunately, this blocks ALL notifications. I do use OneDrive with an account that had a terabytes of storage included, I just want it to stop showing me the offer.
