How to Fix the Port Not Displaying on Private Internet Access for macOS

Are you a Private Internet Access VPN user and for some reason the port will just not display when you hover your cursor over the PIA icon in your macOS Menu Bar? This quick workaround/tip will fix that right up!

After you’ve connected to the PIA service on your Mac you should be able to place your cursor on top of the Private Internet Access icon in your Menu Bar to view the port used for Port Forwarding. With that said, for one reason or another, it doesn’t always display.

Fortunately the solution is remarkably quick and easy. While connected to PIA, click the Private Internet Access icon in your Menu Bar and select Settings from the list of options.

As soon as the Settings window opens, close it.

Now try placing your cursor over the PIA icon in your Menu Bar – the Port Forwarding information should once again appear as it should.

That’s it!
