How to Check Your Chromebook For Updates

This very brief overview will show you exactly how to check to make sure your Chromebook is running the very latest version of Chrome OS.

  1. With the Chrome browser part of Chrome OS open, select the “3 dots” button in the upper-right corner of the window (see screenshot below). From the drop-down menu select Help and then About Chrome OS
  2. Click the Check for updates button if it’s available.
  3. Depending on which version you’re currently using you may be prompted to upgrade. To do so, just follow the on-screen instructions – you’ll be done very quickly.
  4. That’s it!
